Why?

Being accepted is an issue that contributes a lot to my community. Acceptance is the key word. In this society, it is all about being accepted. I dislike how people will treat you differently if you’re not the same as the rest of the crowd. For example, lets say you’re a new student from a new country. You have never stepped foot in America and know nothing out our traditions and our customs. Well you will see new groups each day. There is the jocks, preps, rocker kids, outcasts, and nerds(everybody else). Well seeing that you’re from a new country, you probably won’t be accepted into a certain group because you either: don’t know how to speak fluent English, or you don’t know how to act around a certain group of people. When I’m with my friends, I feel pretty accepted. We all have our own unique likings and we don’t judge each other for them. Wouldn’t it be great if the whole world was like this? It would be great if everybody would get along and put their differences aside? Wouldn’t it be nice if everybody got along despite their racial, religious, or personal beliefs? Or if people got along no matter if they are black, white brown, christian, catholic, athiest, gay, bisexual, tall, short, ugly, good looking etc. The social world is so complicated these days. People are just ignorant about the important issues and focus too much in what they believe in. This is what I believe in: People have the right to like whatever they want, do whatever they want, act however they want, and be whoever they want. Who are we to tell them that it is wrong for them to be different?
