I'm Art

I don't really consider myself an artist, yet I am art. I'm not art just because my name has the word art in it, I'm art because I'm different from the rest of the crowd. I'm made different, I'm a creation made unique and cannot be duplicated. For me, art is an escape from everything, it is a way of expression. My art is not limited to paper. I use the world as a blank canvass. If I'm in the mood to make a video, I'll do it. I have always liked entertaining people and I get a joy out of seeing others happy so that makes me glad to see that people enjoy watching what I like doing. I remember doing a painting my sophomore year of high school. My former art teacher told me about this contest which was to look up a painting made by a French artist and to try to recreate it. Little did I know that I would actually win it. I did it out of interest of art, not for my selfish wants of being better than everybody. So my painting ended up being the winning one and I was real happy since it was the greatest achievement I've received for a piece of art i've done other than in 8th grade my book drawings. I guess that art has been my calling for a while now but I have never actually shown it in real life. I don't look artsy nor do I express my love for art in a passionately way. I'm just myself. No labels, no strings attached.
