The real meaning of the word ghetto
Okay so a while ago, my brother and I were at Wal-Mart buying stuff that we needed. My brother brought up this person that we know. Okay so this person is pretty wealthy. He only has his mom since his sister already moved out. He gets everything that he wants. Whenever a new iPhone comes out, he gets it. If there is an Xbox game that he wants, he gets it. If he wants a new car, he gets it etc. So this kid has been in juvenile hall a couple of times for committing stupid crimes. He has shot people with a paintball gun while driving. I thought that he would have learned after being arrested and sent to a group home for the first time. But I guess that it wasn't enough to stop him. He recently got caught smoking weed while driving. How stupid could people get? This kid dreams of being a rapper. I do have admiration that he is actually trying to follow his dream at such a young age. Well I'm assuming that he raps about being ghetto. I'm sick and tired of kids trying to be ghetto! In order to be ghetto, people have to be from the ghetto. I hate when kids try to label themselves that. I know what it is like to be under poverty and grow up in the ghetto. Moving to America was real hard on my parents. We lived in a house with only one bed room, one bathroom, and a small living room. Our screen door was ripped and we did not live in the nicest part of town. We were not wealthy. Growing up, I learned to treasure everything that I have. I've learned that with hard work and self motivation, I will have everything that I want. We went from being the family which lived in the small house, to the family which lives in the nicer part of town in a brand new house with a convertible, an expedition, and a new nissan. I do value everything that I have. I do not try to be ghetto. In the contrary, I like to dress in nice clothing. We're still not the wealthiest family out there but that's okay. I would have ended up like the person that I know and I know that I would not have liked to be in his position.
